Nicest administration! Clean and comfortable place. Best quality and service for this price category

I think administration is the reason number one why I would like to come back there for next time. They friendly, helping with any necessary information. I spend hours talking with pleasure. Great location, just in few minutes from metro. Breakfast with fruits included... for this value I couldn't expect all what I got. I don't have a doubts for next time where I gonna stay in Santiago.

Bed bugs hostel in Santiago

Close to metro station. You get a towel. It's quiet, equiped kitchen and nice staff.

In this place I got a lot of bites on my arms and legs...later on l figured out they are bed bugs, not allergy as l tought before...l saw them on the matress on my 4th night. They need to take seriuos caution with this problem. Plus l've got my phone charger stollen, asked the girls from the room, it was not taken by mistake. Payment must be done in cash the very first moment you put your feet on the property. A tax is being added aswell. Not very central place. I am not a very picky person, but this place really let me down :(

hostal galeria is basically a low budget hostel in santiago...

hostal galeria is basically a low budget hostel in santiago held by a russian family. i have been there one night. there are big lockers and bathrooms. good wifi

i felt the man has been a bit grumpy and ignoring "hellos" for some reason. beds arent too comfortable actually. location isnt the best in my opinion but its not far away from main attractions. its a good option if you want to save money, besides that i would not necessarily go there. but for one night it was ok.

Friendly foreigners you can meet.

I made a mistake staying there. I don’t know how is the attention with foreigners but I am Chilean and the owner was not friendly with me. He even treated my friend very badly and threw her out of the place, just because she had kept her suitcase. The receptionist who received us during the day, didn’t tell us that to keep the suitcase had to be paid, she didn’t make any problem. The place leaves a lot to be desired just like his owner. For the same $ 25,000 CLP, you can rent a good apartment in Santiango. The only good thing about this hostel is his location near the O’Higgins park.

I didn't have a good feeling staying in the hostel as the owner was not friendly at all and he didn't speak either good Spanish or any English.

Clean, comfortable and very genially.

Clean, comfortable and very genially. Owner is very kind & wonderful painter;) Breakfast is very delicious Parque O'Higgins is near hostel for wonderful morning running & swimming. This garden also has swimming pool & roller coaster ride. This hostel comfortable for traveling to Santiago, because metro station is very close. This hostel also close Movistar Arena where offers sport facilities & many grande shows, celebrations and fairs)))Very nicely

The hostel is small and personal, always clean and with comfortable beds. The wifi connection was good and so was the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. :)

The hostel doesn't have anything showing that it is a hostel, so when you first arrive it just looks like any other family home in the neighborhood. I was in a room next to the kitchen and the walls are very thin, so you hear everything the people in the kitchen are talking about and it's hard to sleep once breakfast starts (but you should get up early anyways to explore the city ;)). The Russian man working there most of the time only knows a little bit of English and Spanish, so it's a bit difficult once you have questions, but he tries his best and is always smiling, plus during the afternoon hours there is usually somebody there who will understand and be able to help you.

If you have better option, don't stay here

The custodian wasn't very upfront about the cost, perhaps it was lost in translation. He chose to convert The US price to pesos using some bank rate which was a fair bit higher than the recommended approx price listed by booking.com. Very inflexible. Moved my stuff from my bed to a common area before the checkout time. Nickel and diming for everything, including baggage storage fee. I want to chill in the hostel lobby area after the checkout time before my flight and the custodian chose to give me hassle before they said they would make an exception to let me stay on a couch in the lobby just 2 hours longer after the checkout time. A far cry from the normal hospitality a backpacker can expect

Beds are real comfortable and the room was spacious

My room was right next to the road and because there was no air conditioning or fan we had to keep the window open and the cars passing by woke us up at 4 in the morning everyday

The mattress so fin, the house very warm, no air-conditioning, kitchen without a stove hood.
